How it is calculated
DA = Basic Pay × DA rate ÷ 100. Arrears are that monthly amount multiplied by the number of months for which the revised rate applies. Enter the rate from the current sanctioning order.
Example
Example: Basic Pay ₹60,480 at the current RPS 2020 rate of 40.04% (from 01-07-2024, G.O.Ms.No.130 dt.06-10-2026) gives DA of ₹24,216 per month, rounded to the nearest rupee. For earlier months use the rate then in force, e.g. 37.31% for January-June 2024 (G.O.Ms.No.128) or 33.67% from 01-07-2023.
