Local-body services were provincialised in 1981 and salaries are paid from the Consolidated Fund.
- Orders: Pay protection under FR 22(a)(iv) is allowed to former local-body employees appointed through APPSC / DSC on or after 10-12-2004 and continuing in Government service on 02-06-2011.
- Monetary benefit: From the date of issue of the order.
- Later extension: G.O.Ms.No.45/2014 extended this to those appointed up to 31-12-2013.
