- Background: A committee headed by Sri J. Satyanarayana reviewed APPSC reforms (report 17-05-2012). It said technical posts (Engineering, Medical, Scientific & Technical) need only a written exam testing domain knowledge, while executive posts needing articulation and public interface should keep interviews. Executive posts of Group-II were moved into a new Group-I(B) (G.O.Ms.622/2012).
- Orders: Under Regulation 14-A of the APPSC Regulations, interviews will be held, besides Group-I(A) and I(B), only for these posts — Gazetted: Asst. Commissioner of Endowments, Asst. Director of Marketing, CDPO, Asst. Director of Industries, DSP (Communications), Asst. Conservator of Forests, HoS Mining Engg in Polytechnics, Asst. Social / Tribal / BC Welfare Officers, Junior Lecturers (Govt Junior Colleges and Polytechnics, except Librarians & PDs), Degree College Lecturers, Deputy Educational Officers, Lecturers in Radiological Physics & Physicists; Non-Gazetted: Industrial Promotion Officer, Asst. Public Relations Officer, Supervisor and Superintendent of Children's Homes (W&CW).
- Instructions: The scheme in Annexures I–VI supersedes the earlier G.Os and applies to recruitments notified in future. Recruitments already notified or in progress are finalised under the old orders.
