(vi) Diploma holders whose course is as long as Intermediate are exempt from minimum general education for Junior Assistant. (vii) Where Typewriting Higher (English, Telugu) is essential, candidates may be appointed and must acquire it within two years. (viii) Junior Assistant needs a Degree in HoD offices and Intermediate in subordinate offices; dependents with Intermediate/10th may be appointed with reasonable time to acquire them (3/5 years by G.O.Ms.577/1993).
